MJ's Pet Sitting has been a licensed Utah pet company since August of 2018. Serving most of the northern part of Davis County and some of Weber county, our service area spans from Layton to Ogden. We provide in the client home pet care and dog walking. We also offer transportation services such as pet taxi, long distance ground transportation, and flight nanny services.
About MJ
Growing up in Carbon county Utah, MJ's love for animals and nature began at a young age. She grew up watching The Crocodile Hunter, Animal Planets Big Cat Diary, and obsessing over Disneys The Lion King. Having one set of grandparents that bred and raised sheep, and another that bred and raised horses, and also ran the local rodeo every summer, she was immersed in the animal world. As the oldest child and only girl, MJ was often found seeking shelter from her brothers by hiding out at her grandparents barn with the horses. She often asked to walk her neighbors dogs, and throughout school became that weird animal lover that got odd looks at career days when she said she wanted to be a zookeeper or wildlife biologist!
Following her dream, MJ went to Weber State University for Zoology and animal behavior. While in school she worked in places like Hogle Zoo, Sea Quest Aquariums, and in a few vet clinics to get some hands on experiences. Like most young adults, she changed her mind and her carreer path, and decided to become a pet sitter instead.
MJ loves spending her free time with her own dogs at home, enjoying camp outs with her family, and likes to travel to new places! Her ultimate bucket list goal is to one day reach Africa and witness in person the Great Migration in the Masai Mara National reserve in Kenya.
